A classic Ferrari 246 Dino triumphs at the Nürburgring

We braved the Rhineland rain to witness a classic Ferrari win

One of the most popular vintage car races in the world, the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix attracted a crowd of 60,000 to the Nürburgring this year, despite the pouring rain. And spectators were treated to the sight of an immaculate 1961 Ferrari 246 Dino rolling back the years and taking the chequered flag in fine style.

The Dino, originally raced by Scuderia Ferrari drivers Wolfgang von Trips, Phil Hill, Olivier Gendebien and Dan Guerney, saw off some close attention from a Maserati 250F to cross the finishing line.
