On 17th February 2011, at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit, the Ferrari Festival came to an end. It was the first event of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, organised by the Corse Clienti Department in collaboration with Ferrari Middle East & Africa.

Over two hundred Ferrari owners and fans of the marque were able to admire the entire range of road going cars, on show in the pits, with no less than fifteen cars putting on an exhibition on track. There was a particularly busy test session with seven Ferrari 599 XX cars, five FXX and three historic Formula 1 cars taking part in six untimed sessions at the futuristic Arab facility, on the same island that his home to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the theme park dedicated to the Maranello marque.

The special owners paid a visit to the park, while at the track, Marc Gene, long time test driver for the Scuderia and much respected tutor to those on the XX and F1 programmes met the local media to take about his experience both as a test driver and an instructor.
