On 4th December 2012, Ferrari’s official Facebook page reached the ten million fans mark just three years after it started. To mark the occasion, a special animated cartoon was produced, featuring the president, Luca di Montezemolo.
On Facebook since 2009, Ferrari continues to grow at a great rate, to the extent that 365 days later the “likes” had exceeded the 12.5 million mark. The country with the most fans is India (1.3 million,) ahead of Mexico (1 million.) Of the European countries, Italy is fourth overall, France sixth and Spain eighth, while also in the top ten are Pakistan (seventh) and Malaysia (tenth.) The majority of “likers” (78%) are male, while over half (54%) are under 24. A few months ago, the Scuderia started its own page and now has over 375,000 “likes.” Italy, India and Brazil in that order are the countries that express themselves the most, while the percentage of males is overwhelming (91%) and that of people under 24 drops to under half (47%.)
