The 18th September 2011 was a highly successful Sunday for the GT version of the 458 Italia. At Vallelunga, the AF Corse-entered 458 GT3, driven by Ferdinando Geri and Marco Cioci, won Race 2 at the Italian GT Championship weekend. In Portimao, Portugal, the Italian team’s sister car won the GTS class of the International GT Open Championship thanks to the efforts of the crew of Stefano Bizzarri and Andrea Rizzoli. Outright winners in Portugal were Joel Camathias and Soheil Ayari, driving the JMB Racing team’s 458 GT2.
