On 13th September 2011, at the Frankfurt International Motor Show, Ferrari presented its Tailor Made programme, aimed at customers who want a car that reflects their personality and tastes. The programme picked up on a tradition that existed in Maranello back in the 50s and 60s, a time when cars were truly unique and made to measure to suit the needs of a single customer, with great freedom of choice in terms of fabrics, hides, wood trim, colours and finish.

Today, one can specify a Ferrari down to the smallest detail, from the body colour to the fitting out of the cockpit, from the choice of finish and accessories with the widest ever range of different materials, treatments and tones. This can range from traditional and precious materials such as cashmere, to younger more current elements such as denim, to the most innovative and technically advanced, such as carbon fibre, reaching a level of exclusivity never seen before in the automobile industry, with many of the materials being used and homologated for the very first time on cars.
